The List I've come up with a list of reasons for getting a job when you still live with your parentals. And here it is: 1. You're not a bum if you have a job. You're also not spoiled. 2. Money -- 'nuff said. 3. It gets you away from your family for a few hours, which is always pleasant. And there's my list. It's a very short list -- as my lists usually are -- but it's a list nonetheless and I think it's a very good one. Now, what is life if you can't appreciate any of those things? Coffee Didn't get coffee today. I really need coffee. You know, it's not even the caffeine I'm addicted to so much as the taste. I mean, I can get a caffeine fix from the soda in my fridge, but, sadly, what I'm really craving is coffee and it's all the way across town and I'm all the way over here. And no one will buy me any. Grr. On the plus side though, I did have a nice meal out with the family, so that was good. It's been six hours and I'm still stuffed. *le sigh* TV Gilmore Girls I missed the first half of it, but gah, I was impressed with what I saw. I loved when Emily was pulled over by the policeman. She sounded as though I imagine I would sound, were I pulled over for THAT. And yes, I'm 99% sure talking on your cell phone while driving is illegal when you're driving in the state of Alabama, unless you have Bluetooth or a speaker phone. Better/more important/imparative things that should be illegal while driving: 1. Oral sex. Yes, it happens while people are driving. Word for the wise: NEVER give/recieve head while driving when there are people parked on a hill above you. It's just not attractive. 2. Flipping idiots off who pass you/beep their horns at you/breathe wrong. Yes, it is just so damn tempting, but then half the time when you indulge in the temptation, you can't pay attention to your own driving and nearly swerve into the other lane. I've seen it happen before. 3. Putting on makeup while steering with your knees. Do you know how many men and women I've seen driving down the road doing this? It's just not cool. They should be ticketed. 4. Attempting to ram a girl to get her attention. Desperate much? And yeah, that one probably is illegal, but I just had to throw it in there, because it's a very important DON'T. And if you've tried to do this, it proves that not only that you're an idiot, but that you can't drive and have a disregard for life and law. Congratulations, dumbass. 5. Smoking while driving. You can't tell me that's safe or smart on any level and I'm sure it's just as distracting as talking on a damned cell phone. And that's all I can think of now, but yeah. Smallville Hartley finally found his niche as the Green Arrow, I do believe. Ever since Oliver Queen was introduced into the show, his performance felt a bit wooden, but last night, I was thoroughly pleased. Well done, Hartley. I'm kinda pissed about Lex testing Lana. I mean, he knew she would've killed him had the Zex thing not worked out the way it did and he said that he was okay with that. So, what's with the trust issues all of the sudden? As with the chamomile incident, she was only trying to help him. But maybe it comes with the whole territory of his character growing darker? Paranoia isn't exactly a good trait; what paranoid people don't understand is that there's a difference between being cautious and safe. Lex is definitely being paranoid. Cautious would be to be more distrustful of people who actually deserve it. Like Clarkie. I was really impressed with Lana though. With each appearance she's becoming less of a damsel in distress and more of the strong woman that (the real/not pod person) Lex knows she is. Yay! for her. Another chica I was really impressed with was Lois. For the most part, I've been indifferent to her character on Smallville, but last night, I really liked her. She reminded me of the Lois Lane that I became familiar with growing up. It was great to see. Can't wait to see the J.L.A. Battlestar Galactica Firstly, I must record my shock of seeing the way that Tigh just fed Hellen the poison. Yes, I realize that she's a liability, but damn, she's his wife; though she did something stupid, she did it for him. I think murdering her was a bit much. Wonder what Adama will say when he finds ou the colnel was his own wife's judge and jury and found her guilty. I daresay he won't think it -- well -- good. Call me a drama queen, but I'll never be able to look at Saul Tigh the same way again. And it's just another example of the faults that lie within human beings. At least the Cylons would make a pretense of a trial. I was proud of Baltar. He actually tried to stick up for the human race -- and he kinda succeeded. This is certainly a personal triumph for him...I wonder what'll happen to he and Number Six, since they're separated from the rest of the Colonial Fleet. And I loved the scene with him and Geta. That just owned -- 'nuff said. I suspected that Kaci/Casey (or however they spell it) wasn't Starbuck's daughter. After all, the child was much older than Sharon and Helo's baby, when it should've been about the same age, right? I really thought her reaction was great when that woman thanked her for finding her child. It wasn't over the top and cheesy and all cry-y and whatnot. It was really great. Gotta say, I felt all warm and fuzzy on the insides when everyone was reunited once more. I was kinda disappointed that Roslin and Adama and Apollo and Starbuck didn't greet each other, but I think that was kinda on purpose. Oh, and Zarek is in love with Roslin. Genealogy Thanks to celebrity genealogies at Genealogy.com, I know that: Laura Bush is my ninth cousin, once removed. Dolley Madison is my twelth cousin, eight times removed. James Madison is my fifth cousin, nine times removed. I swear, modern people are all inbred. I don't care what anybody says. Music I'm really liking The Decemberists right now. Their music just speaks to me. Other Stuff I'm about to go get ice cream at midnight. Love me.

Hmm...good lists. I still don't like Lorelai and Christopher. I like Luke better. And I didn't watch Smallville so I dunno what to say there. Though I'm still iffy about it. It's come to season 6 and still hasn't completely grabbed me, I doubt it will.
