A forth student has died as a result of the Huntsville bus crash.
My thoughts go out to everyone afflicted by this tragedy. It's an absolute shame.
Furthermore, you'd think by 2006 there would be seatbelts on buses, wouldn't you? You know, in Alabama, it's the law that you have to wear your seatbelt in a vehicle at all times, yet I've never seen a bus with a seatbelt here. Isn't that just a little bit redundant?
And I kinda blame the layout of the road in cities like Hunstivlle and other places in the south. There are countless overpasses twisting and turning in every which way. Absolute mayhem and no place for inexperienced drivers.
Apparently Michael Richards said some things he oughtn't.
You know, I can never understand the people who bring race into it. And I certainly can't stand the people who jump right to what race someone is, saying that that's why they're a cockup.
Well, you know what? I'm (mostly) white and I know a ton of white cockups. In fact, I know cockups of every race. I know a rainbow of cockups. Being a cockup is something that transends cultural and religious backgrounds, ergo, when someone is a cockup it's not because they're French, Mexican, or whatever. It's because they're a cockup -- pure and simple.
Winkler was abused.
I don't condone murder, but I also don't condone assholes who beat their wives. I hope the poor woman gets some help. Seriously. And I hope this incident will encourage abused women elsewhere to step up and get the hell outta dodge, before something goes wrong.
