Valentine's
Valentine's Day used to be a real holiday before modern greeting card companies got a hold of it. Now it's a day where people are fake-nice to each other, try not to fight, and spend a bajillion dollars on flowers that will rot.
I've said it before, but I'll say it again: I only want chocolates this Valentine's Day. And that's not because I wish to celebrate Valentine's Day, but because I just want chocolates.
In case you haven't guessed, I will be spending Valentine's in front of my TV with chocolates and Ben and Jerry. And I'll take comfort in the fact that I have my own mind, and am capable of protesting a holiday that's lost whatever meaning it once had.
Yeah, I'm on a soap box. And the view is pretty good from where I'm standing.
