Commentary on the Fashoins of Fall 2008

I was looking at various Fall 2008 collections today and became completely devoted to what I saw. I saw influences of the 20's, with flapper-inspired items (like the headbands) from Anna Sui, tassles and luxe art deco-esque patterns, which I am very into at the moment. I also adored Diane von Furstenberg's line, which channeled old Hollywood c. 1940's. The items were elegant and themey, without being overly done and tacky.

My only wish is that clothes, shoes, and accessories of these influences would make their way to my Nowheresville shopping mall. It seems that all we get here is a bunch of crap, the left overs of what people didn't want a few seasons ago at slightly bigger malls. I demand quality. I demand style. And I demand it now. Do you hear that local mall? Now!
